Hey Lois! Coaching is not therapy so it does not include mental health diagnosis, treatment, or record keeping. Coaching doesn't have to follow ethical and legal guidelines, which allows me to do it outside of my state. My coaching is very skills-based, giving people education and tools and applying it to their situation. It's not as long-term or in-depth as therapy and doesn't treat complex trauma which needs therapy. More info on the differences here: https://drcamden.com/faq/
I appreciate this timeline so much, as I’m right in the proposal process myself (on a totally different topic). It helps me see that I’m right where I need to be.
What is the difference between the therapy that you're allowed to do in Tennessee and the coaching that you do for people outside of that area?
